Book Signing with Author Mick Holien October 21, 2009 - 4:30 - 6:30pm Book Signing with Author Mick Holien, the Longtime Voice of the Montana Grizzlies The University of Montana voice of the Grizzlies, Mick Holien will be autographing copies of his new book, The University of Montana Football Vault. Also meet Montana Artist Coby Johnson and the Grizzly Cup Award Bronze, special GSA Supporter piece.
Video of Ron Ukrainetz painting plein aire Reception : First Annual Mission Valley Plein Aire Paint Out August 1, 2009 5:00 - 8:00pm The Main Street Gallery in Ronan will host the First Annual Mission Valley Plein Aire Paint Out July 30th, 31th and August 1st, 2009. Twelve Montana artists including Ron Ukrainetz, Mark Ogle, Rob Akey, Phil Korell, Mimi Grant, Shirley Cleary, Sue Toppen, Lindy Johnston, Pat Lambrecht-Hould and Gary Schildt will be painting at different locations in the Mission Valley followed by an exhibition of their work at the Gallery on Saturday, August 1st from 5 until 8 p.m. The public is invited to come to the gallery and pick up a map of where the artists are painting and attend the exhibition opening. Reception : "MONTANA STORMS, SUNSETS & POW WOW’S" June 26, 2009 5:00 - 8:00pm An exhibition of photographs by Montana artist Don Whittecar. Montana storms, sunsets and pow wow's. Don has been featured in "Leica View" one of the photography world's most prestigious magazines.
Reception : "LANDED" April 17, 2009 4:30 - 7:30pm An exhibition of paintings, art kites and small books by Mission Valley artist Lindy Johnston. Intimate landscapes in oil pastel layer luminous color and subtle texture to describe form and mood. Kites employ maps and exotic paper, shaping story and space. Narratives acquire dimension to explore the physicality of reading.
Lindy grew up in Libby and resided in Seattle until "landing" in the Mission Valley last summer. Tea and Talk" - April 21, 2009 Noon - 2:00pm Artist Lindy Johnston will demonstrate her techniques and discuss her work. For more information call 883-4611 or 390-4764. |
